This beautiful couple asked us to capture some special engagement portraits for them, and we are so glad they did! It was such a magical afternoon on the sunshine coast, finding light in the forest and then watching the sunset on a grassy hill in Maleny. What engagement photo dreams are made of!
Mother Nature played kind for James and Jaynes wedding day! The skys were blue and it was the perfect day to brave on foot. They wandered down to their ceremony in the lovely Roma Street Parklands in Brisbane. After their ceremony (created by Burnt Orange Events) we meandered around the gardens for a while taking photos, before making the pilgrimage by foot with the wedding guests across the river to the reception over at the stylish Queensland State Library.
The vibe of the wedding was perfectly relaxed, just like James and Jayne:)
Tom and Siobhan’s wedding so much fun to photograph, there were quite a few shenanigans which kept us laughing all day;)
The day was seamless, with Siobhan getting ready with her girlfriends at her parents beautiful home, to the wedding ceremony being hosted at the picture perfect Stuartholme Chapel in Toowong. The stairs of Sturartholme were adorned with colourful springtime flowers creating such a pretty backdrop for the formal photos! Not to mention the inside of the chapel- the architecture and stained glass was incredible!
The wedding reception was held at Gusto da Gianni, a funky little Italian restaurant at Portside, which had a great vibe for them to party away into the night with their guests:)
Siobhan and Tom, thanks for allowing us to capture your wedding day!
Daniel and Imogen were so much fun to photograph (again!). We loved being a part of their wedding day.
They were married at Culgoa Point Beach Resort in a beautiful small ceremony overlooking the ocean. The scene looked like that of a tropical island complete with lots of little DIY touches made with lots of love, from the homemade bunting in the trees, a sweet little owl, decoupage lettering, lace paper lanterns and rose petals scattered everywhere!
After a sweet ceremony with laughs (and a couple of sneaky tears) we headed off for some bridal party fun, while the rest of the wedding guest set of of a little cruise with The Noosa Ferry Cruises. Then it was off to the beach with the couple to give them a little time on their own, make the most of the soft sunset colours in their wedding photos and have some more laughs.
We were graced with the presence of a sweet little doggy who decided to photo bomb Daniel and Imogens photos haha.
(On a random note, I was talking to a friend the other day who said apparently it is a new bridal craze to hire (yes hire!) cute dogs as “photo props” in wedding photos… who would have thought?! Haha! Well we didn’t have to hire this cutie… he came to us;)
The reception then took place at The Boathouse Restaurant and Bar in Noosa, which made the most stunning backdrop for their wedding reception photos. It was lovely to catch up Imogens sister Cara, whose Wedding we photographed a couple of years back too- and to meet their beautiful little boy!
(And I must say, that wedding cheese cake was pure heaven! The homemade jam lovingly made for the wedding favours was such a great (and delicious!) idea:) We loved munching it down on toast over the weeks following the wedding- thank you both- and thank you for having us photograph your wedding day!)
