Charlie and Emma decided to rent a house for the week of their wedding. Living in North Queensland, and travelling to the Gold Coast for the celebrations, renting a home to spend time with loved ones was such a great decision! There was so much laughter from upstairs where the girls were getting ready, and downstairs where the lads were scrubbing up, and it made for such beautiful photographs of their morning wedding preparations, and I’m sure such great memories of time spend together.
Charlie had wanted to go bare foot to the wedding (considering it was 40degrees, it would not have been a bad idea!) but Emma didn’t like the idea… so Charlie decided to get creative hahah!
Yes these are the shoes he wore ALLLL day, and Emma was none the wiser until it was revealed at the Wedding reception. I don’t even know how he kept these on straight all day- that is some mad skills!!!
So Dave and Kate you say? Yes, this is our third “Dave and Kate” couple we have photographed a wedding for- it seems the names are just made for each other. Somehow we didn’t notice until a few weeks ago, they also shared the same last name as one of our other favourite “Dave and Kate” couples which gave us a bit of a laugh!!!
So here we are, playing catch up again. Dave and Kate were married back in January, and we can’t wait to share some of their pretty pictures, but everything in order! First here are some of their beautiful engagement photos we took late last year on a warm summers afternoon on the Gold Coast. Dave’s gorgeous son stole the spotlight in a few photos too- what a cutie!
Fiona and Kate used to work together years ago at Photo Continental when Kate was still in high school, so it was so lovely to get the call to say she was getting married and wanted Deep Grey to photograph her wedding! Kate is such a sweetheart – it was an honour to photograph these two tie the knot!
Dave and Kate were married at the beautiful Albert River Wines at the base of Mt Tamborine. It was such an amazing day!
Kate and her girlfriends got ready on Mt Tamborine, surrounded by loose flowers, and a few feathered spectators. The girls were putting together their bouquets as we arrived – too clever! They looked incredible
It was such an honour to be at your wedding Kate! (Kate and Fiona were friends way back in High School, so we were delighted when she asked us to photograph her wedding). We had the best day and still can’t get over the amazing sunshine you were blessed with on your wedding day… It was pretty much perfect- as are the two of you together. Nawwww.

Much love guys x
Quite a few years ago, we met Talia as a bridesmaid whilst photographing her girlfriend Hayley’s wedding.
Daniel and Talias beautiful wedding took place in Brisbane at the Latter-Day Saint Temple with a few close friends and family present. They then headed down to Currumbin Beach and Valley for their formal photographs.
After their relaxed photoshoot, we headed inland to their stunning outdoor wedding reception, where they partied with their guests! They had a sweet little ring ceremony for those unable to attend the wedding in Brisbane, and despite a little rain had a magical evening outside
