Amy and Matthew couldn’t have asked for a dreamier wedding day! Surrounded by incredible people, amazing weather, and picture perfect surrounds. They were married in St Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaudesert which is a hidden gem! The beautiful chapel made for a stunning backdrop for them to be married. The Father was such a lovely man, and preformed a sweet & touching ceremony for Matt and Amy.
I find it funny that Amy and Matthew were so nervous about being photographed prior to their engagement photo session- you can read about that (here). Once again, they rocked it out in front of the camera with nothing but graciousness. They are so comfortable and relaxed around each other which always make for beautiful photographs.
After the ceremony and some photos around the chapel, Amy and Matt headed over to their reception venue Albert River Wines. Albert River is always a favourite wedding venue of ours – there is always so much colour and character in the landscape all year round no matter what the season, and always plenty of space for a rockin’ party once the formalities are finished! (And who doesn’t love a pony at a wedding:D)
Kirsty and Wade decided to get married in the country, on the land they plan to build their family home on. It was the perfect choice! The rain (and I mean HEAVY rain!) did not stop their celebrations, but only served to enhance the dream like quality of their magical surrounds! The rolling hills blanketed by stormy clouds, and absolutely dreamy styling from Beautiful Weddings, complete with draped crystals, flowers, matching umbrellas for all the of guests(!!!), lace and chiffon floating in the wind served to create a truly breathtaking wedding ceremony.
The best thing about the day was the way Kirsty and Wade took everything in their stride. They were amazing sports and were a delight to photograph. Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned on your wedding day… Just remember to embrace whatever the weather throws at you, keep smiling and have a fabulous day!
During his speech, the best man commented on how with new rain comes new beginnings, and we wish Kirsty and Wade all the best in their new beginning together as husband and wife!
The reception was held at the lovely Albert River Wines at the base of Mt Tamborine.
Kiel and Janine’s wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. Incredible weather, warm friendly faces where ever you looked (everyone was beaming all day!), gorgeous kids laughter ringing through the air and the most beautiful, intimate ceremony held on Janines family property. We knew after their engagement shoot, that we wedding was going to be amazing! (As cliché as it sounds, these two are so completely made for each other). We loved witnessing the excitement in their eyes as they exchanged vows, and that gorgeous gleam stayed right through the night.
Kiel and Janine are creative, so decided to incorporate lots of lovely DIY aspects to their wedding day. Janine made the gorgeous bunting and sourced the sweet finishing touches and decorations, and Kiel made the wooden bonbonnieres and that amazing bar sign- complete with LED lighting!
Kiel and Janine, you were a pleasure to photograph! Thank you for inviting us to photograph your wedding
The wedding flowers were created by the amazing White Ivy Designs.
