Sunshine in the Garden

Little ladies are always so fun to photograph. Sweet twirling dresses and delightful giggles! I met with Annette and her lovely little family in the Brisbane Botanical gardens to take their family portraits. Too cute!

The Lane, Flowergirls

Way back towards the beginning of the year, we were commissioned by The Lane to shoot a vintage tea party- made for the littlest members of the bridal party. The idea was to showcase to The Lane brides, some of the gorgeous children’s dress designers we have at our fingertips here in Australia, while at the same time inspiring sweet tables for your little ones to dine at.

We absolutely adore children at weddings! Their cute, funny and unpredictable ways are guaranteed to keep your guest entertained. Accommodating children at your wedding can be fun, especially if you are planning an outdoor reception… let them run barefoot and free, making new friends and eating lots of cake!

Michael and Miranda + 2

Miranda and I are a few weeks apart in age. As little girls, we used to dream together of one day touring Africa together and going on Safari… which has yet to happen?! Winking smile She is my cousin, and I love her to pieces (even though we never get to spend time together and it has been years since we have had the chance to just “hang out”).

Miranda has been wanting to have family photos taken for quite some time now, and finally made the time to book in a photoshoot. These little guys are train obsessed, so Miranda asked if we knew of any train yards we could photograph her family near. After phoning around a couple of photographer friends (thanks Na;) we were able to find this gorgeous spot to photograph their family.

Our little guy and I tagged along with Adam to the shoot (hey if Adam gets to hang out with my cousin I’m not going to miss out!)

Love you Randi, and glad you loved the photos, we loved gate crashing your photo shoot!Smile

Sweet little Harry was a trooper on the day of his photo shoot. Despite not feeling too well, he was still happy to explore, play and enjoy the afternoon outsideSmile

Drew and Rachel + 1.5

Today I am happy to share with you a delightful little family shoot! We have photographed Rachel and Drew a few times now over the years, first as a newlywed couple, then Rach as a new mum, and again now as their gorgeous girl Cassidy turns one and they look forward to expecting their second bub!

It was a crazy day! Torrential downpours, sunshine, light rain, clouds, the weather REALLY couldn’t decide what it was doing! Bub and I decided to tag along with Adam to the shoot and play in the puddles while Adam photographed Rach and Drew.

Drew and Rachels car pulled up and you guessed it… torrential rain!!! We waited for about 10 mins and decided to call it a quits. They drove off and we decided to go ahead with our plan of jumping in puddlesOpen-mouthed smile (I’ll do a separate blog post on that one!)

We were happily playing (the rain had now stopped) and Rach and Drew pulled up and jumped out- they had noticed the rain had stopped and knew we would still be around. Here’s the results! What a fun little shootSmile
