Aman and Alice

Last August we photographed Alice’s sister Jane’s wedding. It was so fun to see the girls again on the weekend! All I can say is those Beattie girls ooze style… and they make their Dad so proud. He remarked to Adam on the shoot that there is no other feeling like having your daughters get married.  (This said with the biggest, proudest smile as he watched Alice coming towards him, ready to walk down the Isle).

I have chosen WAY too many images to share on here- but why not?! My excuse? There is two weddings!

The morning started with an Indian flavour (and I’m not just talking about the yummy Indian food:). Aman and Alice were married in the Sikh temple in a ceremony called “The ceremony of Joy” in the morning, and then headed off to be redressed and restyled for the Aussie style wedding held at the Casino in the City.

Enjoy (we did!).

I thought this was beautiful- the cloth Alice is holding is a pala (scarf). The pala symbolises the soft but strong bond between husband and wife, they each hold an end of the scarf:) It’s so great to see other cultures and religions at play in a Marriage ceremony. A nice reminder that although we may have different customs and traditions, we all believe in Marriage and family unity. I love it.

Wedding take II.

Absolute favourite- ohh la la! That dress is just amazing:)

Annie and co.

Last month we had the pleasure of photographing Annie and her family. The shoot was fantastic! Adam and the Fam walked about 2k, laughed like crazy and managed not only to get a great workout, but capture great photos too.

These guys had been looking forward to their shoot for quite some time. Annie and Ash stumbled across our photography late last year and decided to book us in to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, which also happened to land on Mothers day! It was the perfect excuse for a family shoot:)

Ben and Michelle

A week before their wedding, Ben and Michelle booked in for a portait shoot to get comfortable in front of the lense. They looked fabulous then, and their wedding was even better!!! Keep an eye out!
